About Katja
Hi, I’m Katja!
I’m a German writer who believes life is too short for sad endings. That’s why I write cozy, wholesome, feel-good romance that leaves readers with a smile and a happy sigh.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been losing myself in stories. The more romantic, the more humorous, the more wanderlust-inducing, the better. This lifelong passion eventually led me to write novels of my own — stories that transport readers to dreamy destinations and make their hearts beat a little faster.
Thanks to my Scottish roots, the Highlands hold a special place in my heart. The rugged landscapes, the mist rolling over ancient hills, the warmth of a village pub on a cold evening — I’m drawn back to the British Isles again and again. Whenever I visit family in Scotland, I fill my notebook with inspiration and my suitcase with shortbread.
My novels are filled with the magic of cozy cottages with crackling fires, meddling locals who know everyone’s business, breathtaking scenery, and love stories that sweep you off your feet. Whether it’s the first snowfall of winter or a kiss at midnight on Hogmanay, I try to capture the little details that make readers feel like they’ve stepped right into the story.
My books are for anyone who craves heartwarming escapes — stories that make you laugh, make you swoon, and always deliver a satisfying happily ever after.

Earl Grey with milk and a side of shortbread. Non-negotiable. I go through an embarrassing amount of both.
Baking, always! Though my cinnamon kisses recipe is, let’s say, „a work in progress.“ Ellie would not approve.
I have family on the British Isles. Every visit means a full notebook of inspiration and a suitcase overflowing with shortbread.
Absolutely. I listen to Christmas music year-round while writing. My family has learned to accept this.
I love swing music.
The Book Club Ladies. They started as side characters and completely took over. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Because the best feeling in the world is closing a book with a smile. That’s what I want to give my readers, every single time.
There may or may not be a brand new series set in the Cotswolds in the works. Stay tuned…
